OCN's original drama, "Train," has reached its conclusion.
"Train," starring Yoon Shi Yoon and Kyung Soo Jin in a parallel-universe drama, aired its series finale on August 17. And despite the positive feedback of the series from viewers throughout its 12-episode run, the show still received its modest viewership. The TV series returned to its all-time high for its final episode, and according to Nielsen Korea, the "Train's" broadcast scored and average nationwide rating of 1.4 percent.
The original drama of OCN- "Train" tells about the story of two parallel universes that after a critical choice on the night of a murder, it existed. Yoon Shi Yoon plays the violent crimes detective of the Mu Kyeong Police Station named Seo Do Won. In the universe, "A" Seo Do Won is living with a sense of guilt because of his father's trespasses, while in-universe "B" the crimes of his father lead him into a life of corruption.
Furthermore, the second season of tvN's "Forest of Secrets" held tight on their position on the top beating rival shows across all cable channels. And despite the slight decline of viewership in its second episode," Train" still achieved the second-highest ratings of any Saturday-Sunday drama that premiered in tvN history. The recent episode of "Forest of Secrets 2" scored a peak of 6.9 percent and an average national rating of 6.4 percent.
Also known as "Stranger," "Forest of Secrets," follows the story of Hwang Si Mok (Cho Seung Woo), an emotionless prosecutor, and the warm-hearted police officer Han Yeo Jin (Bae Doona). They join forces to solve concealed mysteries and investigate corruption.
The second season will follow the leads' reunion with opposing views of a tense situation engaging the police and the prosecutor's office.
Meanwhile, the family drama of KBS 2TV's "Once Again" remains undisputed as the weekend's most-watched drama with an average nationwide rating of 29.6 percent and 32.9 percent for its two parts.
