BTOB’s Sungjae just released an OST for the drama that he’s currently starring in!
1theK released Sungjae’s original song track ‘Love Resembles Memories’ for his ongoing drama ‘Mystic Pop-up Bar’ on June 4. The song was recorded before Sungjae enlisted in the military service on May 11.
The song is a ballad about loving somewhat but being unable to express your love to them, which Sungjae was able to deliver excellently and with real emotions. Fans are touched by the thought that Sungjae prepared a lot before leaving for the military.
‘Mystic Pop-up Bar’ is a South Korean television series starring Hwang Jung-eum, Yook Sung-jae and Choi Won-young. The drama premiered on May 20, 2020.
The story revolves around the Mystic Pop-up Bar, a mysterious outdoor bar that is only open late at night and that can travel between three different worlds and heal customers through their dreams.
‘Mystic Pop-up Bar’ marks Sungjae’s return to the small screen after starring in the hit drama ‘Goblin’ in 2016 with notable actors like Gong Yoo, Lee Dong-wook, Yoo In-na, and Kim Go-eun.
Aside from being an idol and actor, Sungjae was also a fixed member in the variety show called ‘Master in the House’ since 2017. He left the cast after two years for his mandatory military service on February 18, 2020.
Earlier this year, Yook Sungjae released his first solo album since debut Yook O'Clock on March 2, 2020 which consisted of six songs from 3X2=6 and lead single "Come with the Wind."
The title track 'Come with the Wind' is a song about looking back on the past that is coming on the wind. The acoustic sound and Yook Sungjae’s mellow tone are impressive and the harmony between his sincere voice and the choir’s sound in the latter part can be deeply moving.
Fans can’t wait to hear more of Sungjae’s magical voice, but for now, they are hoping for a safe service and that Sungjae will return healthy and well.
