Red Velvet's subunit Irene and Seulgi appeared on TIME Magazine and performed their single "Monster" with a special message to all front line health workers who are fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Red Velvet's Irene and Seulgi performed their single "Monster" on TIME Magazine's TIME100, which they performed with dancers. "Monster" is the title track for Red Velvet's subunit Irene and Seulgi mini-album titled by the same name released this month.
According to the Hanteo Music Chart, Red Velvet's Irene and Seulgi mini-album sold more than 100,000 copies on the third day of the track's debut. Both Irene and Seulgi composes the subunit of Red Velvet, along with three other members, namely Wendy, Joy, and Yeri.
Meanwhile, Red Velvet's subunit Irene and Seulgi shared a warm-hearted message to all front line health workers who are battling the COVID-19 pandemic. Before their "Monster" performance in TIME Magazine's TIME100, both Irene and Seulgi expressed their gratitude and thanks to the front line health workers, who are in a constant struggle to fight the disease.
Irene took the time to thank the frontline healthcare workers who have been so vital in the fight against COVID-19, while Seulgi added that we must continue to stay healthy during this difficult time and thanked the fans for their support amidst the global crisis.
Both Irene and Seulgi were a part of a pre-debut group called SM Rookies in December 2013 and debuted as Red Velvet in August 2014 with Wendy, Joy, and Yeri. Both have been training under the management of SM Entertainment before setting record hits today.
Red Velvet's latest accomplishment was performing at Pyongyang, North Korea, as a part of the first music delegation from South Korea to visit North Korea in more than a decade. Later that year, the group receive a Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Commendation Award for their service to pop culture and the arts.
