WJSN makes graceful return with their new mini album ‘Neverland’ and a new music video for their title track ‘Butterfly’!
The music video was just released today, June 9, marking their return from their previous album release on November 2019.
Neverland is the eighth extended play Cosmic Girls. The album is released by Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment, and distributed by Kakao M. It contains a total of six songs, including the lead single 'Butterfly'.
For this album, some of the members participated in the writing and production of some songs in the EP. Member Seola is credited as one of the writers and composers of 'Our Garden'; while another member, Exy, is credited as a co-writer on all tracks and also as a co-composer of 'Tra-la'.
The title track ‘Butterfly’ is produced by GALACTIKA *, where member Exy participated in writing the lyrics as well.
Cosmic Girls, also known as WJSN, is a South Korean-Chinese girl group formed by Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment. The group debuted on February 25, 2016 with the extended play Would You Like? and with twelve members: Seola, Xuanyi, Bona, Exy, Soobin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Meiqi, Yeoreum and Dayoung.
In July 2016, Cosmic Girls added a thirteenth member, Yeonjung, to the group.
The Korean and Chinese members were divided into four different subunits.
On December 10, 2015, Cheng Xiao, Bona and Dayoung were announced as the first unit, the Wonder Unit. Followed on December 17, Xuan Yi, Eunseo and Yeoreum were introduced as the Joy Unit.
By December 24, SeolA, Exy and Soobin were introduced as the third unit, or the Sweet Unit. Finally, on December 31, the members for the final unit or Natural Unit was announced which included Mei Qi, Luda and Dawon. Yeonjung was added later to the Natural Unit when she joined WJSN.
On August 2016, Cosmic Girls released their second mini album 'The Secret' with all 13 members. Since then, the girls have been promoting together and have been inseparable.
