SF9's Inseong and Hwiyoung are both elegant and sharp in the recent pictorial with GQ and shared their thoughts in the mag's accompanying interview.
In the post-shoot interview with GQ, Inseong and Hwiyoung talked about working with the other members of SF9 and their actions in a web drama.
To start, Inseong shared how he landed being a singing idol and said that the first time he was able to sing in front of the crowd was when he was in college. He revealed that he was in a singing club at the time and was so enthusiastic to kick-off that he forgot to warm up. "I sang Jo Sung Mo's 'Do You Know,' and my voice cracked."
When asked to describe Hwiyoung, he said that they always consider Hwiyoung as always looking good in photos since their debut. He has a sentimental side, with a cold look, which Inseong finds cute. He also realized that Hwiyoung is such a lovable guy after he worked with him a lot.
Meanwhile, Hwiyoung talks more about his web drama with Inseong, where he is portrayed as an AI robot. He shared that his facial expressions were a big challenge for him. Hwiyoung explained that there's a face that he consistently makes because he's a robot, which makes him feel artificial and awkward.
Hwiyoung revealed when asked about his true self that Inseong told him that he can be cute, unlike his outer appearance, while Inseong said that he can be a reckless little brother and can always act like a kid because Inseong considers him as one.
Moreover, Hwiyoung then described Inseong and said that he is smart, fun, and knows how to make the other person feel comfortable. He expressed that there are only a few people who are like him.
Regarding the SF9's debut, Hwiyoung admitted that debuting when he was still in high school was not easy. He shared that when he looks at it, it makes him think that he was not happy.
Finally, Hwiyoung talked about what he'd like to improve about himself. He expressed that he's the kind of sensitive person, and there are times when he reacts impulsively according to how he feels. With determination, Hwiyoung said that he needs to be more relaxed and become more open-minded.
