Brown Eyed Girls’ JeA just dropped her latest music video for her new solo digital single ‘Greedyy’ featuring MAMAMOO’s Moon Byul on June 12.

JeA collaborated with IU and Moon Byul for this comeback. It was personally announced by JeA that IU wrote the lyrics for Greedyy while Moon Byul featured as a rapper and at the same time, wrote the lyrics for her rap as well.

According to SM Entertainment, the new song ‘Greedyy’ is a song with an imposing message, “Don’t hesitate to challenge yourself.” The song was composed by Ra.D, Lee Sun-min, and Yoo Woong-Ryul.

As reported by Soompi, JeA released a comment regarding her new single through her agency, Mystic Story, on June 12 saying, “There are often times when I see younger friends hesitate to do what they want out of fear that people around them will disapprove. However, if you live life as someone else, you eventually get a reality check. Even if you get disapproval now, you have to go after things you want. That’s how you become happy.”

The singer also praised IU, commenting, “I asked IU to write the lyrics after only giving her the keyword ‘power confidence’ without any other comment. However, she still wrote such good and relatable lyrics. The double ‘y’ in the title to represent greed was also IU’s idea.”

She also spoke about working with Moonbyul, sharing, “Moonbyul also said that after reading the lyrics, she gained the courage to write her rap. It was a fun production where we all had the same mindset.”

JeA added, “I want to thank IU and Moonbyul for making me the ‘cool unnie.'”

JeA is a South Korean singer and songwriter. She is best known as the leader and main vocalist of the girl group Brown Eyed Girls who debuted in 2006.

JeA is the one responsible for the creation of Brown Eyed Girls and was actively involved in the selection of the other members besides herself. After trying her hand on producing and composing for her group and several other artists, JeA finally released her first solo album, "Just JeA", in 2013.
