NATURE surprises fans with their total transformation in their all-new eerie music video for their album title track ‘Girls’ that was released on June 17, 2020.
‘Girls’ is the title track for NATURE’s third single album ‘Nature World: Code M’. The song talks about a girl’s pure, childish, and innocent love, where she is asking her lover to not play with her heart.
Ahead of the release, the music video was under fire after Mnet and other broadcasting sites deemed the music video inappropriate due to some scenes that were shown in the teasers.
The music video cannot be aired unless some scenes were edited or removed. Some scenes include the girls getting killed by getting stabbed with scissors and getting hit with a swinging ax.
“Shortly after the above media reports, Nature's label n.CH Entertainment responded with an official statement, relaying, "It's true that Nature's 'Girls' music video was deemed inappropriate for broadcast. We have resubmitted the MV after editing the problematic scenes, and the new footage is currently under evaluation." Allkpop reported.
Thankfully, the music video was released right on schedule after making some minor edits.
Another concern from the fans is that the girls are back incomplete. It can be noted in the choreographed scenes of the music video that there are only six members present instead of nine.
One of the members, Aurora, is still in China after participating in the idol survival program, ‘Youth With You’. She is currently unable to return to Korea due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
Another member, Loha, is taking a break due to health issues but confirmed to return for their next comeback. Lastly, member Sunshine sustained a leg injury. Although she is not performing the choreography, she is found in some parts of the music video and is reported to participate in non-music show promotions.
