K-pop idol and actress Nana pairs up with Park Sung Hoon for the upcoming KBS drama ‘The Ballot’ that is set to air its first episode on July 1, 2020.
‘The Ballot’ is a romantic-comedy drama that is set in the world of politics, where the main leads try to work together to catch corrupt politicians and the like.
Nana will be playing the role of Goo Se Ra, a lower class citizen who works multiple jobs just to make ends meet. Despite the little education and coming from a poor background, she possesses confidence and resilience to make up for it.
Goo Se Ra is also known as the ‘Queen of Civil Complaints’ for her constant interventions and persistent appeals to resolve issues through her local ward office. The plot starts when she hears a job vacancy in the District People’s Council with an annual salary of 50 million won for a work duration of only 90 days. Goo Se Ra immediately applied for the post.
Meanwhile, Park Sung Hoon will be playing the role of Seo Gong Myung, a civil servant who goes strictly by the book. Although he is handsome and efficient at doing his job, he does not have a friendly personality and is usually cold and direct in pointing out the mistakes of his colleagues.
Due to his personality, he gets more enemies in the workplace and gets dubbed as ‘Great Lucifer’. He is also frequently transferred to different departments for the same reasons. He gets tangled up with Goo Se Ra after she was hired and they join forces in penalizing corrupt politicians.
‘The Ballot’ marks Nana’s return to the drama land. She previously starred as one of the main roles in the drama ‘Justice’ in 2019 where she received praise for her acting as a prosecutor.
The same goes for Park Sung Hoon who previously played the role of a psychopath killer in the 2019 drama ‘Psychopath Diary’.
Everyone is excited to see the main leads’ chemistry and how the story will play out in the end!
