For K-pop fans, the Video Music Awards presented by MTV on August 30 was a memorable night. Adding to their lengthy list of achievements, BLACKPINK created history with "How You Like That."

Although BLACKPINK did not get a chance to perform at the award ceremony, they eventually made a small appearance thanks to Lady Gaga. Since BLACKPINK had appeared on the song "Sour Candy" from her new Chromatica album, Lady Gaga managed to find a way to include the band on the awards ceremony in her medley live performance.
It started with the camera trailing Lady Gaga at the early stage as she lounged on a mattress and gazed at the screens, like a spectator. That is when fans with eagle eyes found something behind the pop singer. All the posters behind Lady Gaga on the wall show one from above, with a red tape strip. BLACKPINK was one of the black and white photos, which turns out to be the one under.
The reality that Lady Gaga included such a tiny point to express her love and support for BLACKPINK had hit many supporters — mostly because the group was unable to join the center stage for a "Sour Candy" performance themselves.
