KCON: TACT 2020 Fall will be held this coming October 16 to October 25 as announced by CJ ENM and Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).

Started back in 2012, KCON is a representative Hallyu convention event that gathers more than 1.1 million cumulative offline audiences during a total of 24 events around in some places, including the United States, France, Australia, Mexico, and Japan. Due to the COVID-19 issue this year, offline schedules in places like the United States, Japan, and Thailand will not be held this year.

The online K-Pop convention will last four days longer than KCON: TACT 2020 Summer held last June with over 4.05 million online viewers. The KCON: TACT 2020 Fall will be held via the Mnet K-Pop channel of Youtube.

CJ ENM will be putting a digital technology to use for the event, and this includes upgraded AR technology. The production will use holograms during their performances, new acoustics, and more. The previous KCON: TACT 2020 Summer, CJ ENM used MR (Mixed Reality) and XR (Expanded Reality) for the enhanced online experience.

A source from CJ ENM said that this KCON: TACT is making massive moves even in this time of the pandemic, which prohibits close contact with other people. The production is spearheaded efforts in making K-Pop to be known worldwide. They will be bringing new experiences of the Korean culture and their content to Hallyu fans worldwide.

As international performances are difficult to bring up this time, the production hopes that KCON: TACT 2020 Fall will be an excellent opportunity for fans and artists to be closer to each other.

Also, the production planned to maximize the interaction between the artist and the fans. This increases the fans' opportunity to participate in the stage so they can feel the realism of offline performances online.

KCON: TACT 2020 Fall will serve in exchange for KCON’s offline conventions, including the KCON LA that has been canceled following its initial postponement.
