KBS confirmed on June 22 that Jo Yeo Jeong and Go Joon will be starring in ‘If You Cheat, You Die’ together with Kim Young Dae, Jung Sang Hoon, Hong Soo Hyun, and Momoland’s Yeon Woo.
The said casts were seen on the same day attending the drama’s script reading.
‘If You Cheat, You Die’ is a comedic drama about people dealing with marriage, divorce, and affairs with a guilty conscience.
Jo Yeo Jeong will be playing as Jang Yeo Joo, a novelist who writes mystery novels in which the characters die every one or three pages. She is also popular for being a brutal writer giving harsh and desperate punishments to the male characters who committed cheating.
However, unlike her novels, Jang Yeo Joo enjoys a peaceful married life with her lawyer husband.
Meanwhile, Go Joon will be playing the character of Han Woo Sung, a divorce lawyer who provides emotional comfort to his clients and helps them get through the legal process of settling a divorce agreement. He’s the perfect divorce lawyer, but sometimes gets thrown out of the court for misbehaving and getting too close to his clients.
Aside from the notable main leads, the drama is also gaining attention for casting former member of MOMOLAND, Yeonwoo, and rising star Kim Young Dae.
Yeonwoo previously starred in the drama ‘Touch’ just this year. Meanwhile, Kim Young Dae recently appeared in JTBC’s ‘I’ll Go to You When the Weather is Nice’ and was widely known for starring in the fantasy drama ‘Extraordinary You.’
The leading star of the upcoming drama, Jo Yeo Jeong, was part of the cast of the award-winning film ‘Parasite’ and she recently starred in the hit drama ‘Woman of 9.9 Billion.'
She is currently known for carving out a strong and successful career by carefully picking interesting and well-written scripts, making her one of South Korea’s A-listers in the entertainment industry.
'If You Cheat, You Die' is expected to air this December. More details of the premiere will be announced soon!
