The South Korean all-girl group that debuted in 2015, GFRIEND, confirmed through an announcement that their forthcoming Japanese singles collection is set to arrive in October in two consecutive weeks.
In a report by Hellokpop, Source Music shares the enthralling new to GFRIEND’s fans on September 11 (Friday) through a statement posted on the girl group’s official Japanese website and various social media accounts.
Moreover, the girl group’s home management and recording label confirmed the matter on September 14 (Monday).
Having that said, ‘回:LABYRINTH- Crossroads’ and ‘回:Song of the Sirens Apple’ will be made available by GFRIEND respectively on October 14 and October 21.
‘回:LABYRINTH- Crossroads’ comprises the Japanese categorized versions of the tracks ‘Crossroads’ and ‘Labyrinth.’ Both singles are pieces of GFRIEND’s eighth extended play entitled ‘Labyrinth,’ that was launched in February 2019.
On the other hand, ‘回:Song of the Sirens Apple’ will give prominence to the singles titled ‘Tarot Card’ and ‘Apple’ from the girl group’s newly released ninth extended play entitled ‘Song of the Sirens’ that was made known in July.
Furthermore, the upcoming releases of GFRIEND set the show for the band’s first full-length album since ‘Fallin’ Light’ in November 2019.
The Japanese invasion of GFRIEND
The six-member all-girl group came out in Japan in 2018, with Japan’s leading record agency King Records. Moreover, GFRIEND released three singles for their Japanese fans called ‘Flower,’ ‘Sunrise,’ and ‘Memoria.’ Additionally, the group released a full-length album entitled ‘Fallin’ Light.’
Since GFRIEND debuted in Japan two years ago, the band claimed positive responses from the Japanese market. As the group is leaning towards committing their music success through dominating the global music stage, the band has acquired the ‘Best 3 New Artist’ award at the 2019 live show of the 33rd Japan Gold Disc Awards.
