CHECKMATE has arrived!
The newest addition to the K-pop list of co-ed groups is CHECKMATE, taken under the umbrella of GRACE COMPANY Entertainment. CHECKMATE bottles up five members, namely Suri, Sieun, Yongseok, Nason, and Noah.
The first single of the rookie co-ed group is titled DRUM, which was released on September 21. For the time being, the said track has stormed the fans' attention with its enlivening theme.
DRUM by CHECKMATE
The track DRUM ins an enthralling EDM record that was inspired by Moombahton. It tags along the collaboration of enticing synth tunes and rhythmical marching band sounds, as per Hellokpop.
Furthermore, its rare and one-of-a-kind melody and addictive chorus parts will surely take over the minds and hearts of its listeners, making them groove along to the thumping beat.
Alongside the release of the group's first single is the music video of the same. The music video proves the domination plan of CHECKMATE, as it shows off a wide array of talents and versatility in many ways.
The band members' modish and extravagant styling to its head-turner looks and the backdrops used for the music video is all worth it. Moreover, the music video showcase highlighted the use of flashing graphics so the setup would jive in with the track's compelling tune.
When the autumn season is about to unveil itself, CHECKMATE's first single titled DRUM is the best song to listen to!

The latter led the group to reveal more sets of teasers to poke the anticipation if its fans. CHECKMATE released concept photos that were split into halves. Sieun, Suri, and Yongseok's images were shared on September 9, while Noah and Nason's were released the day after.
The concept photos were then followed by the fascinating group images of the band, donning vivid and colorful hairdos.
To conclude the teaser releases, CHECKMATE made known DRUM's preview video clip the same day the same track was released.
