BLACKPINK’s “As If It’s Your Last” marks the girl group’s fourth MV to have 900 million views, following “DDU-DU-DDU-DU,” “Kill This Love,” and “BOOMBAYAH.”

On November 3, at 3:27 PM KST, BLACKPINK’s “As If It’s Your Last” hit the 900 million mark on Youtube. The MV for the single was released on June 22, 2017, which took the girl group to achieve the milestone in three years, four months, and 12 days.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK has been reported to be the first Korean girl group to sell a million copies of their first full-length album called “The Album.

On October 26, YG Entertainment announced that the girl group has managed to sell 1,209,543 copies that combine domestic sales of 871,355 copies and 319,300 international copies in the U.S. and U.K. with 18,888 limited edition vinyl LP versions of the album sold.

After its release on October 2, “The Album” went on to the iTunes Top Album Charts in 57 countries, and the physical album was debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and U.K. Official Charts on October 6, breaking the record for Korean girl groups on both charts.

This feat of selling one million album copies has never been done by a girl group other than BLACKPINK in K-pop history. The highest official tally for the most albums sold from a girl group stood at 760,000 copies, which was by S.E.S.’ 1999 album “Love.”

In other related news, BLACKPINK has four nominations for the upcoming MAMA Awards 2020. The girl group is nominated for Best Female Group, Best Dance Performance - Female Group for “How You Like That,” Song Of The Year with “How You Like That,” and Artist of the Year.

The Mnet Asian Music Awards 2020 will be held on a virtual space of “NEW-TOPIA” due to the Covid-19 pandemic on December 6 at 4 PM Standard Time for the red carpet, while the main event will start two hour after at 6 PM Standard Time.

The prestigious annual awards celebrate the best Asian artists and music in the region. Songs and albums released between October 24, 2019, and October 28, 2020, are eligible for this year’s event.
