MAMAMOO held their much-awaited return on Mnet’s “Comeback Show,” where the girl group performed their latest singles and revisited their old hits.
When MAMAMOO won at the Mnet female idol competition show, “Queendom,” last year, the girl group was entitled to have a comeback show. After releasing their 10th mini-album “Travel,” the group decided to have a comeback show at the network titled Monologue.
“Monologue” is formatted to be a music talk show program, where MAMAMOO members would sit down and talked about how each member dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic and how it feels to perform without the fan’s presence.
The Mnet comeback program also featured MAMAMOO performances and showcased new material from their latest mini-album “Travel.”
At the program, MAMAMOO members voice out their concerns on how they deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. The girl group stated that they spent their time mostly at home and had been slow in this pandemic. The quartet also revealed that the experience of performing without an audience makes them feel as just “working” with each other and rehearsing.
Meanwhile, Solar added, “This is MAMAMOO’s first comeback as a group in almost a year, but we can’t communicate with an audience, so I really feel their absence.”
Besides that, MAMAMOO’s show, “Monologue,” features the latest performances from the group’s newest album, “Travel” with hits such as “Aya” and “Dingga.” The girl group also performed past singles at the comeback show with “Hello,” “Starry Night,” “Wild Flower,” “Egotistic,” and “HIP.”
In other related news, MAMAMOO has been nominated in the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2020 in four categories, which is Best Female Group, Best Vocal Performance Group for “HIP,” Song Of The Year for “HIP,” and Artist Of The Year.
Meanwhile, MAMAMOO’s Hwasa is nominated for her single “Maria” as Best Dance Performance from a solo artist and Best Female Artist.
