BTS' V joins his group BTS and famous female soloist Adele in the World iTunes Records chart, as he impressively smashes the number one spot in over 100 Countries!
Falling shortly behind Adele's "Hello" and the latest achiever BTS' "Black Swan," V's "Sweet Night" currently ranks as the third solo song in account to score #1s in 100 countries.
The record achievement is highly remarkable. V did not just become the only male Korean soloist to hit the mark but also became the only male soloist in the world to enter the seemingly unreachable mountaintop.
According to Allkpop, fans anticipate what "Sweet Night" will serve in the next days since V has already made history in the music industry. Even famous western artists that are known as digital monsters such as "Ed Sheeran," "Ariana Grande," and "Justin Bieber" have not yet reached such achievement.
With the release of the JBTC's "Itaewon Class" soundtrack "Sweet Night," V broke the eight-year-old record set by PSY in his 2012 hit song "Gangnam Style," topping the charts of 86 countries.
Slow but steady, V is now savoring the taste of being part of the elite bracket in the music world records.
"Sweet Night" is currently topping 101 countries in iTunes Top Song Chart, following behind Adele's "Hello" with 102 countries and BTS' "Black Swan" with 104 countries.
"Sweet Night" was released on March 13 at 6 PM KST by the record-setter V.
The track easily topped song charts in 77 countries, including the U.S., France, Canada, Italy, Brazil, Russia, Portugal, Belgium, Indonesia, Denmark, Argentina, Australia, and many more, Soompi reported.
BTS' V personally wrote, produced, composed, and sang the track "Sweet Night." It is a ballad-like track that sounds sublime as a soothing lullaby, as described by Hellokpop.
The released original soundtrack flaunts V's deep vocals that beautifully harmonize with the track's warm melodies.
