The maknae of the world's most phenomenal K-pop group has once again proved his massive existence on the global music stage. According to the K-pop dedicated news site, Allkpop, Jeon Jung-kook, best known as Jungkook, lays out another record for Euphoria and My Time.
Well, it is not new for Jungkook to rake feats with his solo singles, as he has been into it since he and BTS emerged their fame on the global stage.
My Time sweeps new records
Having that said, Jungkook's single called My Time is now the first Korean B-side and BTS solo song to be on the iTunes' worldwide song chart for 100 days. The impressive feat makes the single the longest-charting Korean B-side and BTS solo song on the renowned music chart.
Additionally, the song includes the highest entry for a BTS solo song on the Hot 100 of Billboard and the fastest BTS solo song to achieve a sale of 100,00 units in the United States of America. It is also the first single by BTS to chart at the first rank on Billboard's world digital song sales.
Euphoria adds to Jungkook's recent achievements
On the other hand, the track called Euphoria has exceeded the 180-million-stream count on Spotify. The track is the first song of a K-pop male idol solo to sweep the said record. As of writing, it is the most-streamed track of BTS and the third among all K-pop idols' solo songs on the same platform.
Euphoria also is the best-selling B-side in the K-pop industry as it now has four million sold on a global scale.
Undoubtedly, Jungkook is a global artist, carrying the name of BTS and K-pop to a whole new level. For the time being, Jungkook gears for BTS's comeback on November 20, as he releases his version of concept photos for BE, per Hellokpop.
