EXO-SC's Chanyeol reveals a dreamy music video for his self-composed song "Nothin."
On July 9, the rapper, composer, and producer Chanyeol made us day-dreaming with his solo-track titled "Nothin." The soundtrack is one of the nine tracks of the EXO-SC's album titled "1 Billion Views."
The release of the new music video "Nothin" follows the surprise release of the music video for "Telephone," featuring 10CM on July 7.
The EXO member charms the listeners with his soft and transparent voice in a dark and slow rolling trap, under the spell of guitar riffs that border on alt-rock.
The singer chooses the vocalist route, a surprising choice for his instrumentation. It is also brilliant in how it allows the track to veer into underground K-R&B vibes, Rolling Stone India wrote.
The song offers another side of Chanyeol, whose previous releases provided brighter, uplifting variations of pop and hip-hop, as seen on the duos recently released "Telephone."
"Nothin" is about being determined to carve your path without paying attention to what other people say.
The track, along with their album "1 Billion Views," will be out on July 13.
Other than "Nothin," the full tracklist includes "1 Billion Views," "Say It," "Rodeo Station," "Telephone," "Jet lag," "Fly Away," "On Me," and the instrumental version of "1 Billion Views."
On July 10, the music video for Sehun's solo track "On Me" will be released. The album tracks will be dropped simultaneously, with the last track to be released on July 13.
According to GMA Entertainment, Aside from the comeback promotions of EXO-SC, Sehun is also set to start filming for his big-screen debut film "The Pirates: Goblin Flag" this July. He has too just wrapped up filming the third season, Netflix's original mystery variety show "Busted!"
Meanwhile, Chanyeol recently collaborated with veteran singer Lee Sun-hee for a song called "Regards." He will also be starring in an audio drama called "Pit-A-Pat Pit-A-Pat" adapted from a popular webtoon, GMA wrote.
