BLACKPINK reveals to be currently preparing for their next song release!
On July 23, at 9 AM KST, YG Entertainment released a teaser image for the upcoming single from BLACKPINK. Excitingly, the preview teaser snippet indicates there will be a featured artist on the new track, which remains a mystery. The latest single is expected to be launched in August. (via Soompi)
YG Entertainment announced recently this year that BLACKPINK would be completing a three-part return, beginning in June ("How You Like That") and concluding the launch of the very first full-length album of the girl band in September. This latest single was its second phase in BLACKPINK's comeback schedule, which later this fall also comprises solo track launches for the band members.
BLACKPINK Tops Five Weekly Gaon Charts!
Gaon Chart recently confirmed on July 23 that BLACKPINK, together with EXO-SC, swept five of their music charts for the whole week of July 12 to 18.
In the meantime, BLACKPINK retained last week's triple crown with No. 1 in the virtual ranking, and with their new release "How You Like That" in the streaming chart. For the 8th consecutive week, the band also overtook Gaon's Social Chart 2.0.
Overall, Digital Chart reveals BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" persisted on the overall virtual ranking this week's leading record at No. 1 as Block B's "Summer Hate" stayed equally at No. 2 on its place. SSAK3's "In Summer" dropped in for the week at number 3, Hwasa's "Maria" at number 4 and BLOO's "Downtown Baby" at number 5.
As for EXO-SC, throughout their first launching for their full-length album with an opening track "1 billion views," the track soared at the number 1 spot on the physical music charts, obtaining double crowns and the top spot for this week's streaming download chart.
