After a year-long hiatus, Lovelyz is reported to make a comeback in the music industry and is working in the last stages of an upcoming album.
Some reports confirm that Lovelyz member, Ryu Soo Jung, had a statement regarding the group's return in the K-pop scene. Ryu Soo Jung stated that "Lovelyz will continue to show a variety of sentiment and innocent concepts. This is because all the members have great pride and affection for Lovelyz's color and music."
This year, Lovelyz fans expressed their disappointment to the group's label, Woolim Entertainment, stating that the group hasn't had a comeback single in the last couple of months since the release of 'Beautiful Days.'
The fans continued stating that Lovelyz has joined in one of MNET's survival shows 'Queendom' in August 2019. However, the girl group has not held a single comeback since then, until now.
Lovelyz members clearly expressed their desire to come out with a new album on one of their V Live broadcast with their fans. With the COVID-19 pandemic still on the rise, the group instead created the said broadcast to communicate with their fans regularly.
During one of the V Live broadcasts, one of the fans asks Lovelyz if they have plans to make a comeback album. The group then replied, "We will make a comeback this year, right? We probably will. We should."
Lovelyz is an 8-member group made up of members, namely Baby Soul, Jiae, Jisoo, Mijoo, Kie, Jin, Sujeong, and Yein, under the Woolim Entertainment. The girl group's debut was on November 17, 2014, with their single 'Candy Jelly Love' from the album 'Girls Invasion.' The album ranked ninth on Taiwan's Five Music Korea-Japan weekly chart and first on Japan's Tower records album chart.
Lovelyz's last comeback was in August 2019 with the EP 'Once Upon A Time' and the lead single 'When We Were Us (Beautiful Days).'
