The South Korean BLACKPINK queens are preparing the stage for its grandiose comeback album. They kick off in poking the anticipation feelings of its fans by releasing the first-ever concept teaser for Lovesick Girls.
In a Kpopstarz report, BLACKPINK’s home management and recording label, YG Entertainment, announced that the group is slated to pre-release a single in June, and an additional single showcase in July-August.
Having that said, the enthralling music releases of the K-pop group are all in preparation for the promotional activities for the group’s first Korean categorized full-length album in September.
And on June 26, the K-pop femme fatale made known its first single from the album titled How You Like That, that broke records and smashed music charts from different regions. With the track’s digital release, it finishes at the number 12 spot on the Gaon Digital Chart in just 24 hours, then continued to reign high on the same chart during its second week.
In the middle of the girl band’s comeback preparation, YG Entertainment released the prologue of the girls’ newest reality segment titled 24/365 on its official Youtube channel. And on July 23, Rose, Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo, dropped their collaboration track with American pop superstar Selena Gomez for Ice Cream.
On July 28, BLACKPINK announced that its album entitled The Album is set for launching this coming October 2, then followed by the vast win of the group at the 2020 MTV VMAs for the Song of Summer category for the single How You Like That.
Since then, BLACKPINK has been unveiling concept images and videos for its fans, leading the group to reveal The Album’s title track, Lovesick Girls. The teaser video gives prominence to each BLACKPINK queen in apparel used on its concept photos.
