BTS' V continues to smash records with his solo soundtrack "Sweet Night."
On July 7, BTS' V wowed the world after sweeping 101 countries with his first-ever solo track "Sweet Night." He has then become the only male soloist in the world to grab the title with flying colors.
In just a day, BTS' V has achieved another milestone by breaking through the 105-country mark, surpassing the 2015 mega-hit song of Adele "Hello," and BTS' "Black Swan."
The rising BTS member has finally grabbed the title as the "#1 soloist in the world," leaving behind Adele's 102 and BTS' 104. Plus, V is now the first and fastest artist in history to top in 105 countries' charts.
V does not just stop there, as he is also the only artist to rank two songs on the prestigious list, according to Allkpop.
BTS' V is now single-handedly raising the banner of K-pop throughout the entire world, adding to the already expanding culture of K-pop. He now belongs with the elites, flaunting his achievements that most famous artists from the western countries could only dream of.
"Sweet Night" is a song written, produced, and sung by Kim Tae-Hyung or widely known as V. BTS is undoubtedly proud of their co-member.
In connection to solo activities, BTS' beloved leader RM recently reached a new milestone with his 2018 playlist/mixtape 'Mono,' Forbes reported.
The collection of lush, moody hip-hop songs (as described by the media outlet) has now reached the No. 1 spot on iTunes in 100 countries. With RM's achievement, he currently holds the record as the first Asian act to achieve a mark with an album.
While iTunes records don't have the same cultural cachet as Billboard or YouTube records, Forbes expressed, they're still a good signifier of an artist's popularity around the world.
Congratulations, V and RM for a historic achievement!
